Being There Now

Lately I've been so connected to Irene, I feel little urge to meditate near as much, and little urge to use the affirmations that helped us get to this point. We were talking about this the past couple of days.  There was an analogy I used a long time ago that popped in my head.

If you have a desire to go to and live on the moon, the pathway there might first start with building a rocket ship.  In order to do so, you'd have to develop certain knowledge and skills to build that kind of transport. Once completed, you'd need a largely different set of skills and knowledge - that of piloting that ship to the moon. After you've landed, you'd then need to become someone who could build and maintain a habitat on the moon.  Note that the practices that you must have at each stage is, to a large degree, different from the practices you needed before you got to the next stage towards our goal, and then actually existing in your goal state is largely different from existing in your beginning state.

I've come to see my own path towards complete reunification with Irene in the same light.  Meditating often, using affirmations and prayer, finding external and then internal validation and authorization, were a means of working my way through my own resistances.  Now, however, interaction and communication with Irene is easy, and I'm actually living in a state of being with her - not fully, but I see that much like beginning to build our moon habitat (eternal existence together) in the analogy.

Abraham-Hicks often spoke about the ability to currently experience that which we want to experience. It's part of what intentions, focus and affirmations are about; to generate the ongoing emotional and psychological sensation of the reality, here and now, of what it is we are yearning for. Living in that state, though, and enjoying it, loving it, being happy in it, is actually a much more powerful form of affirmation; not the yearning for what could be, but the joy of experiencing what you are wanting now, and through that allowing the further physical manifestation of that to unfold.

So, instead of clinging to the habits that were necessary to get me to this point, I'm going to re-evaluate and adjust to see what new knowledge, habits and practices best serve us going forward. That probably means less affirmation and meditation, and more gratitude and appreciation for our current state, as well as allowing the physical unfoldment of our eternal life together and however that happens, and recognizing and validating when such events occur.
